What is your favorite part of coaching at ROC Star Academy?
I love the crowd's reaction when the band opens with a big riff
and the faces on the band members when they hear it.
Hometown: Medina grad. Been in Rochester since 1986 so it’s home.
Your musical focus/instruments you play:
Vocals, acoustic guitar mainly, and percussion
What is your musical background?
Marching band in high school. Traveled in the Empire Statesmen Drum Corp for 7 years all over the world. 25 plus years as a solo acoustic artist. Currently aux percussion in the Zac Brown Tribute Band. Singer/guitar player in the humorous duo Drinking Class Heroes.
What are your musical influences/favorite bands?
Eh. Too many to list. Overall. Good writing / lyrics is everything to me.
What one album would you choose if you were stranded on a deserted island?
"Wall Flowers"

What is your favorite venue or event that you’ve performed?
Too many to list but playing on the field during the World Cup Soccer prequals … Germany vs Sweden in Denmark is certainly near the top of that list.
What’s the craziest thing that ever happened to you on-stage?
Power outage. Sat on the end of the stage and played a true acoustic unplugged show.
What’s the best piece of musical advice you’ve received in your career thus far?
Trust my ear.
